I think only one car passed me. Pretty much road to myself. But it was weekday, I believe. Then you just cut through some neighborhood and couple steep hills to get to the ridge.Dessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171103825773885278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6515853512050067278.post-57761741406051190692011-02-07T08:51:43.434-08:002011-02-07T08:51:43.434-08:00Dessa,

I'm curious as to how Lake Alice Road is for cycling. Safe? Light traffic? It's a bit tricky to find under I-90.
I did this ride on regular 23 mm tires:
http://app.strava.com/rides/202192
There are some gravel section but nothing bad.
Here is the link to Map/GPX
http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/wa/issaquah/378127535756887853Dessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171103825773885278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6515853512050067278.post-20094072027397863472011-01-29T18:08:32.311-08:002011-01-29T18:08:32.311-08:00I lived in Snoqualmie for about 5 years having mov...I lived in Snoqualmie for about 5 years having moved there from Issaquah/Sammamish. Largely due to the "downslope winds" you refer to - and the generally snowier weather in the Snoqualmie/NorthBend area we moved back into Issaquah this past spring.

While in Snoqualmie though I did thoroughly enjoy many of the roads you've described here. The Tokul Loop road was one I rode often. Only once did I manage to find my way to the Uplands area and I did not ever take the time to find Rattlesnake Lake.

So I look forward to joining you on a HOWC ride that will take us back out to that area. It is definitely great riding.

I am a firm believer that the rides with the fewest cars on the road to compete with are the best rides.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08546092195148417569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6515853512050067278.post-19234803823220788352011-01-29T17:28:04.707-08:002011-01-29T17:28:04.707-08:00Reg,
